VoIP is Going be Legalised in UAE ?

There romours and talks saying that VOIP is going to be legal in UAE by the end of the year 2009.We are pasing through 11th month of teh year but still Etisalat has blocked all voip phone calls ( still people are uisng lots of applications to voip phone calls from uae like actionvoip,freecall,jumblo,smartvoip,voipblast etc) and still illegal.
Last month there were some news published in media qouting that International internet calls could be legalised in the UAE by the end of the year, a senior official at the country’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) .
There were qouting the words of Mohammed Gheyath, executive director of technology development affairs as “Hopefully by the end of this year a new policy will be out,”The concept of providing a service is so much related to a licensing scheme. In general whatever services you would like to provide you should be licensed for, so only the licensees will be providing it,”
